mrSimon's project 'Your Mums Face' originally began as an attempt to create an 'album in a day' consisting entirely of tunes which would be 'socially-awkward'. 'Your Mums Face' was originally released in 2006 as a 10 minute EP, however after a few months, mrSimon enjoyed it so much that he returned and produced 5 more volumes.
Each volume originally had a vague theme. One (Tracks 1-10, CD.1) being 'noise to annoy mum' and Five (Tracks 21-28, CD.2) being 'end of an era'. However volume zero (Tracks 11-22, CD.1) were composed during a very grim period in mrSimon's life.
Over the years, the album has been provided on CD, in 'original volumes' and 'best of' collections. This edition served as mrSimon's third album in his discography, as a 2 disc set, with all 60 original tunes, presented into as close to the original order as possible.
In 2011, this album was replaced with a collection of select tracks from the series, remastered and remixed, to stand alongside mrSimon's modern work as a dedicated musician.
